Masechaba was born in Lusaka, Zambia , a product of exile & the offspring of Soweto-born revolutionaries. She spent the first 5 years of her life in Zambia & Zimbabwe. Thereafter she spent a significant amount of time with her grandmother in Dube, Soweto. She joined her parents in the United States where she spent 7 of her most formative years in California. She began writing at the age of 6 & her short stories were published in Children’s magazines in the United States. She is passionate about personal development and youth empowerment.
Masechaba Ndlovu Currently hosts the SAfm focal point between 3 and 6pm as a guest presenter for the Month of August. She has helped develop the broadcast landscape as a TV & radio Content Producer, Presenter and a lecturer. For years, Masechaba has run classes facilitating interview skills training, On-camera training as well confidence coaching. She hosted The Drive Show on Metro FM for 2 successful years. At the age of 23, she was nominated in the 2007 SABC NEWS Awards in the best presenter: current affairs category. Masechaba is a Pan-African brand who has interviewed international heads of state; Captains of Industry and some of the most influential newsmakers of our time. She the pioneering anchor of eNews Africa Masechaba is a highly skilled interviewer with a passion for people.
Masechaba created a hugely popular show, Power Life, that won an Award at the 2014 MTN Radio Awards. Masechaba is the brainchild of the show and produced and hosted it from 2013-2017.
Masechaba has hosted one of the longest running and most successful TV talkshows in Africa- The Big Debate, on etv (now SABC). This is a highly engaging and grueling debate platform that requires a seasoned broadcaster who is well researched and is able to think on their feet. She also facilitates dialogues and debates off-air.
