Yemen Houthi rebels continue blockage in Red Sea

In reaction to Israel's siege of Gaza, the Houthis blockade Taizz while attacking ships. Houthi led blockage was followed by launch of missile strikes, targeting both civilian and crew ships passing the Red Sea. The Houthis have vowed to maintain this blockade for as long the Israel’s siege of Gaza continues, this blockade has seen Taizz civilians unable to access water. This area is controlled and under the control of central Yemeni government, the Houthis invaded Taizz in 2015.
