ANC's National Working Committee has resolved to call for an urgent special NEC meeting on Wednesday, a day before the State of the Nation Address. This follows a meeting of the party's NWC with its top six officials discussing the future of President Jacob Zuma at Luthuli House last night.
Zuma is reported to have declined requests for him to step down at another meeting that was help at residence, Mahlaba Ndlopfu in Pretoria on Sunday. Opposition parties have meanwhile been calling for the removal of Zuma before the State-of-the-Nation-Address scheduled on Thursday.
Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC senior reporter, Tshepo Ikaneng and political analyst, Ralph Mathekga.
