The Secretary General of the South African Council of Churches Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana says South Africa inches from becoming a mafia state. He was speaking at the launch of the 'Unburdening Panel'.

South Africa may be inches away from a mafia state from which there could be no return

The Secretary General of the South African Council of Churches, Malusi Mpumlwana, says South Africa is just inches away from becoming a mafia state. 

Speaking at the launch of the 'Unburdening Panel' in at the iconic Regina Mundi Church in Soweto Bishop said the ANC government has lost the moral radar. Adding that the country is "may be inches away from a mafia state from which there could be no return”

The Panel is a moral response to the Promise of a free post-apartheid South Africa. Mpumlwana says it's their responsibility as the church to protect South Africans.
