I was removed from cabinet because of my anti-corruption stance

Sexwale says despite his father advising him to leave cabinet after the Marikana massacre earlier in 2012, he had hoped he could stay

On the Forum @8 Sakina Kamwendo spoke to former Human Settlements Minister and ANC National Executive Committee member, Tokyo Sexwale on the lead up to the ANC's elective leadership conference in December. 

Sexwale delivered a speech at the African Renaissance Colloqium on the 28th September 2012, University of Fort Hare, Alice on the Legacies of the Forefathers and the Youth of the African Continent Today. He described how a deeply disturbing phone call with his elderly father, on the the Marikana tragedy, cause him to introspect. 

Sakina Kamwendo spoke to him on the state of the ruling party.
