Unions on effectiveness of anti-corruption marches

COSATU's socio-economic nationwide strike against state capture and corruption will take place this morning, with a total shutdown of schools and municipalities on the cards. The union Federation says it will ensure that teachers‚ nurses‚ miners and municipal workers countrywide, down tools. 

Marches will be targeting the various city halls‚ banks‚ the Chamber of Mines‚ Eskom and offices of provincial premiers as well as the South African Local Government Association. The Cosatu affiliates are calling on the ANC to address workers' concerns over what they call 'the looting of State coffers. 

On the Forum@8 Sakina Kamwendo asks these marches are effective with COSATU President, S'dumo Dlamini; Fedusa general secretary, Dennis George; South African Federation of Trade Unions', Zwelinzima Vavi.
