The provision of quality health care in the North West is again under the spotlight with another woman claiming to have suffered the indignity of giving birth unattended at the Jouberton Community Health centre, near Klerksdorp last week.
The woman alleges she was forced to give birth in a room unsuitable for delivery. She says was left unattended during labour and her cries for help ignored. When the nurse came, about 45 minutes later, she was ordered to walk to another room with her newborn baby still hanging between her legs.
