The ANC has expressed disappointment at the criticism that former Public Enterprises Minister, Barbara Hogan, has leveled against its deployment policy. In her submission to the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture Hogan accused the ANC of interfering in the appointment of board members of state-owned enterprises and questioned the relevance of the governing party's deployment committee. She also criticised former Secretary General Gwede Mantashe's intervention when she approached US and British banks for funding.
