"Nxasana took advantage of situation"
CASAC says Shaun Abrahams appointment was unlawful adding that they have no sympathy for Mxolisi Nxasana
CASAC legal representative, Geoff Budlender says there is no need to sympathise with former Nationals Director of Public Prosecutions, Mxolisi Nxasana because he took advantage of the situation when he accepted the Golden handshake of 17.3 million rand.
He reiterates that Shaun Abrahams appointment was unlawful, but he doesn't sympathise with Nxasana. He has told the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg that, Abrahams has a burden to clarify why he should stay in office.
Budlender says there is no way Abrahams will decide on former president's future, instead he must vacate office as he occupied this position unlawfully. He warns that if Abrahams is left to occupy office, this will amount to him being used to settle political scores.
