Multichoice will not renew ANN7 contract
The pay-TV provider faced criticism for questionable payments to the tune of 141-million rand annually to ANN7
Multichoice says the Africa News Network (ANN7) will be taken off the DStv bouquet when the contract expires in August this year. Multichoice made the announcement at a media briefing in Randburg, Johannesburg.
This follows allegations of a corrupt relationship between MultiChoice and the Gupta-linked news channel ANN7. CEO of Multichoice South Africa, Calvo Mawela has denied the allegations. Tsepiso Makwetla spoke to the Spokesperson of ICASA, Paseka Maleka.
