Over the weekend Gauteng Premier David Makhura gave away identified vacant land to what he says is for people who are prepared to build houses for themselves. He goes on to say that the pace of “rapid land release” will be dependent on the willingness of mayors, and he has vowed to expose those who refuse to cooperate with him.
