ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has led the party to its sixth electoral victory but this could be its last chance. We are now in conversation with Richard Calland, an Associate Professor in Public Law, at the University of Cape Town, who says the ANC's domination has been in decline since 2009. In four successive national and local government elections since former party president Jacob Zuma entered office that year, the ANC's share of the vote has fallen.
