Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga will today give update and clarity on preparations for the re-opening of schools. It has been reported that the department is considering excluding schools in Covid-19 hotspots reopening in June. The National Professional Teachers Organisation of SA (Naptosa), is against this. The Federation of Governing Bodies of South African Schools (Fedsas) believes that some schools are ready while others aren’t.
