NYDA on Jobs Summit

Earlier on #SAfmTalkingPoint hosted by Bongi Gwala, hosted The NYDA (National Youth Development Agency) Executive Chairperson, Sifiso Mtsweni discussing the #JobsSummit2018 taking place at Gallagher Convention in Midrand on 4 and 5 October 2018. 

Some of the things he stressed in the interview, speaking about the upcoming 2019 elections was that “this is one election where our people must hold us accountable” Speaking about the township economy, and how it can  be used to empower young South Africans, he said "The challenge to the township economy are the shops that are owned by foreign nationals, they are not contributing in anyway to employment" Another problem to tackling the township economy according to him is that our townships are full of malls. Regarding small business accessing funding, he proposes that instead of loans, grants must be given, because businesses fail while trying to finance loans.
