Member of Parliament Timothy Khoza has died in a crash during a oversight visit to Paarl by the Basic Education Committee. Three other MPs sustained serious injuries in the accident as members were on their way to visit schools in the Western Cape. 

Khoza is an ANC member in Mpumalanga. ANC Caucus  spokesperson Nonceba Mhlauli  has extended the condolences of  the office of the ANC Chief whip to the Khoza family. The three other MPs involved the accident are DA MP Ian Ollis, UDM MP Cynthia Majeke and ANC MP who is also the chairperson of  the Basic Education Committee Nomalungelo Gina.
