Eleven people arrested in alleged SASSA card fraud
Police expect to make more arrests in SASSA fraud case
Police have arrested eleven suspects and recovered over a thousand SASSA cards, cash and firearms in Nigel on Gauteng's Eastrand. Eight suspects were nabbed after they were found withdrawing money on behalf of SASSA grant recipients.
Police were led to a nearby property where they arrested three Chinese nationals. They were found in possession of ID's and SASSA cards. Police believe they were holding these cards as security for lending grant recipients money. Bongi Gwala spoke to Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele.
